If there's one thing I've learned in life, it is that things change.
Blatant self-promotion warning!!!
I am now a contributing blogger at Telic Thoughts. I've always held TT in high regard, so it is an honour to post there. I plan on writing my first post soon.
I am also experimenting with W*rdPr*ss right now. I will notify everyone if I do decide to move EE. The reason for this potential change? Let's just say time and work are against me and a different location may help.
You may have noticed changes to the sidebar. I get bored easily, and my sidebar appearance is a casualty ;)
I hope to have a new post that is more relevant to EE soon. Stay tuned...

jps - If that makes you happy, that's great. But from my personal perspective, that's too bad. TT is a step beneath this place, IMHO, due to the presence of TT blowhards like Joy and Bradford. Keeping company with them will not enrich your reputation, I fear.
ReplyDeleteHave fun.
Well, good luck there. I thought you were running out of time. FtK is gone, but you're still around, which is good news.
ReplyDeleteI'd like some biologists or engineers to take a look at my latest post....come on over.
Lying about climate change vis-a-vis Minnesota moose populations
If the above dave is the dave I think it is, he is welcome too.
Seems I caught some biologists with their pants down.
WW, things change rapidly. I find I have time at work, but no access to EE (the site is blocked). On the flip side, I either don't have time at home or I'm too tired. It could be this cold I have right now.
ReplyDeleteI actuallly have read that post, WW. Good work and keep it up.
dave, everyone is welcome to their opinion; Joy and Bradford are more than willing to share theirs, and I know they have good sparring partners who are more than willing to express their opinions loudly, too.
No offense to anyone here, but TT offers a broader spectrum of background to critique opinions. I also hope that EE will get more exposure through my posts at TT.
Re the opinions of Joy and Bradford, that's not the problem. The problem, as Daniel Patrick Moynihan correctly noted, is that "Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts."
ReplyDeleteOpinions backed by facts are preferred. Joy and Bradford are too often much too cavalier about the facts.
WW - I looked at your blog, as requested. Sure enough, you figured out that some wildlife biologists and/or journalists might have made a mistake. That certainly must prove that evolutionary theory is wrong, I suppose...
Um, contrary to popular belief, TT isn't exactly an open forum. The crew there definitely don't like arguments and facts that they cannot refute.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, EE won't become as restrictive.
Thanks folks. For the record, the post wasn't about evolution.
ReplyDeleteAlso, you might consider renting a shared server...it will give you more flexibility, and probably would not get blocked at your work, assuming you work at a large corp.
ReplyDeleteWW
ReplyDeleteMy mistake; you are indeed more than a one-trick pony.
Clearly your post showing that mistakes were made by some wildlife biologists and/or journalists is a disproof of anthropogenic global climate change.
Well done.
jps,
ReplyDeleteYour second-favorite blog and new playground just banned Zachriel for no other reason than the fact that he argued Bradford into a puddle. Zach has been a cogent and civil commenter over there for years. Too bad Bradford feels the need to emulate DaveScot and ban commenters when he has no coherent arguments against them.
Teach the controversy. Not.
Under what name are you blogging there? I have been missing your posts if any were posted.
ReplyDeleteNevermind, I just found one:)
